Leonie Huie BEM is an education policy adviser and practitioner with specialist expertise in vocational education, post‑16 pathways, and governance, informed by over 20 years’ experience working directly with schools and educators across England.

Alongside leading Huie Consulting, which provides bespoke support for BTEC and AAQ delivery, Leonie contributes practitioner‑led insight to national education policy discussions. Her work focuses on bridging the gap between policy intent and front‑line practice, ensuring that vocational pathways are rigorous, equitable, and clearly understood by decision‑makers.

Leonie Huie BEM was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in 2021 for services to education. She is recognised for her expertise in vocational education and her commitment to improving outcomes and progression routes for learners following non‑academic pathways.
