STAFF Wellbeing

Teaching is one of the most rewarding yet emotionally demanding professions, and without regular well-being support, it can quickly lead to burnout, stress, and low morale.

"According to School Week, in the 2023/24 academic year (which spans much of 2024), approximately 41,200 full-time equivalent (FTE) teachers left the profession in the UK."

At Huie Consulting, we believe that when teachers are well, schools thrive. Our staff well-being programme is designed specifically for educators, offering a calm and supportive space to recharge, reflect, and build sustainable self-care habits. Through a blend of in-person and online group sessions, private 1:1 support, and a practical well-being booklet, staff are guided to reduce stress, improve work-life balance, and prioritise their mental and emotional health—both in and out of the classroom.

"According to the National Union of Teachers who carried out a survey in 2025 of their 14,000 members, they found that teachers feel stressed at work a majority of the time. Almost two thirds (62 per cent) believe that stress affects them more than 60 per cent of the time."

Investing in teacher well-being not only enhances staff retention and performance, but also creates a more positive and resilient school culture.
