I am a proud BTEC baby.

When I left secondary school, I wasn't sure what came next.
A vocational qualification in Health and Social Care gave me the skills, confidence and direction to complete a degree and masters, build a successful career, and spend more than 20 years teaching the next generation.

I know first-hand the opportunities vocational education can create. That's why I'm on a mission to champion high-quality vocational education and ensure it receives the recognition, leadership and support it deserves.

Because without a skilled workforce, there can be no strong economy. And without strong vocational education, there can be no skilled workforce.
